Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Concealer Review

If you know me at all, you know I’m obsessed with Tarte products, any makeup really, but mostly Tarte products. As I’ve mentioned in some of my YouTube videos, I feel like the brand has really stepped their game up when it comes to concealers, the Shape Tape shook the makeup world to its core earlier this year. I, like almost every other makeup junkie, had to get my paws on it. I ordered some from the Tarte site and waited patiently as I watched beauty guru after beauty guru rave about this amazing product. It finally came in and I found that, I too was obsessed with the creamy, thick formula of the Tarte Shape Tape. It provided full coverage and didn’t need to be set with a powder – what more could you ask for!? When I went back to Sephora to restock, I found out that the famous makeup retailer doesn’t carry the most popular concealer on the market right now, so I had to settle for something else. I knew I wanted to stick to Tarte,  while perusing, I stumbled upon the Maracuja concealer. I had heard of the Maracuja oil that Tarte had recently come out with so I decided to give this guy a try. If you’re looking for full coverage, look no further. One drop of this concealer will completely cover your entire face, the thick, pasty consistency gives you full coverage with a dewy finish but with the sweltering hot summer heat upon us, I found that the thick consistency felt sticky and cakey on my face. Whats worse than your hair sticking to your sweaty face you ask? yar hair sticking to a sweaty face with caked on concealer. It was horrible, I knew it was time to change up my makeup routine. I don’t usually wear much makeup in the summer, once I get a tan I’ll just throw on a little concealer, blush and highlight and be on my way.

I went back to Sephora the other day and rediscovered Tarte’s Rainforest of the Sea concealer. I had used this concealer while back, unfortunately I had purchased it in the winter so it’s lightweight, water based formula didn’t do the trick for those months when my skin was a

r full coverage. Guys, all I have to say is I’m hooked. This is my summer concealer. The lightweight formula provides the most natural finish that doesn’t feel uncomfortable in the blistering heat or humidity. My main problem with wearing makeup in the summer is that

I’m actually so excited about this find that I ran to my computer to write this blog post and shout my message from the digital mountaintops! (this post isn’t sponsored)
